Because they describe large brush strokes of life and have general truths

Solomon is at a time where he walks away from God
Why is Ecclesiastes so negative?
Solomon talks about how much he hates life and he has a death obsession so he is constantly talking about death and life being meaningless
What does the term vanity mean in Ecclesiastes?
Earthly things/meaningless/worthless

Literal story of Solomon and a Shulamite, generic love between a man and a woman, Jewish thought was that it was symbolic of God and Israel or Jesus and the church

Major are big books, minor are smaller books
