Strengths/traits?
Engineering: problem solving/critical thinking
Very well organized, good at working on lots of complex projects simultaneously (by breaking down and simplifying), also good with time management
Strong Collaboration skills: have worked with a variety of departments at my last two jobs, so I have developed the skills to efficiently work with all types of people to
Passionate/eager to learn: I have changed industries a couple of times, and whenever I move in a new direction, I want to learn everything about the industry and my specific role in it. Want to learn so I can be the best at the job.
weaknesses:
Weakness: Public speaking? (good at working with people, but struggle with presenting, open to improve but not strong suit)
2nd weakness- Trouble saying no, will still get done but at the risk of getting burnt out.
Overcome conflict example?
Every project was one off, lots of different ideas, new manager hired not a good fit for the company in addition to personality challenges, strong recommendations that didn’t make sense, had to navigate keeping manager happy and doing what was actually right. He eventually got let go, but I navigated through his short comings, but still got job done. Developed strong relationships with fab lead/engineers since manager wasn’t providing much value.
disagreed with the decision?

Time you made a mistake/failed?
Sold a scraper downtown had some steel that needed a 3 coat paint system but I only carried a 2 coat system which costs quite a lot more which would have cut into our margin (to fix it, I got cheaper quotes from other vendors and found a 2 coat system that all of the same advantages for way cheaper). Mitigate cost. Customer still satisfied.
Greatest professional achievement?
Standardizing assemblies/parts at Boxman (save time on the design and manufacturing side), when I started that only did one off projects, repeatable fabrication procedures. Created a catalog of standard designs. Even though every project was custom, I realized there were a lot of repeatable assemblies/parts that we were redoing/reinventing the wheel. I was spearheading the efficiency/continuous improvement
