What is an engineer?
Engineers use technology to make products and systems for societal benefit
What is engineering design?
- create something new or rearrange existing things in a new way to satisfy a need
- bring together math, science, and art
How many phases of design are there?
Seven:
Conceptual, embodiment, detail, planning for manufacture, product distribution, product use, product retirement
What is a Needs Analysis?
Understanding what the problem is rather than solving it

Convenes and chairs team meetings, using effective meeting and management practices

A person trained in group dynamics who assists the leader and team in achieving its objectives

A tool used to divide a project into manageable segments to ensure that the complete scope of work is understood

A graphical network diagram that focuses on identifying the potential bottlenecks in a project
