Q

What are your thoughts about motivating clients, how can you assess/address therapy through their values and belief systems? Why is this important? What could be challenging about this?

A

There are many factors of motivation when it comes to client participation. When considering a clients internal factors we will address therapy through their values/beliefs. It’s important to respect a persons values and beliefs because Occupational Therapy is client centered. This can be challenging because sometimes the treatment truly needed, will not be given.
