2) syncope consist of the actual loss of consciousness during the stage the patient exhibits a death like appearance the breathing may be shallow and gasping slight convulsive movements may be present pupils are dilated and loss of bladder control may occur

Trendelenburg position which is the sup supine feet higher than the head Air way is open Cold compress too the face Ammonia capsule Furnish oxygen

And infection of the respiratory tract affects all aspects of the tracheobronchial (Trachea, Bronchi, Bronchioles)
What are the types of asthma
1) Extrinsic- happens most often in children and young adults
2) Allergen- any substance capable of inducing an allergic reaction
3) Intrinsic- a non-allergic Poor usually first occurring later in life that tends to be chronic and persistent rather then episodic (Older than 35 of age)
4) Status Asthmatics- severe in which the patient experiences eat continuous asthma attack, Will cause death if not treated properly (not responding to normal drug therapy)
Causes of asthma and how to prevent them
1) Can be known or unknown
2) Anxiety/emotionally upset
Don’t keep patient waiting explain and demonstrate the procedures and equipment

Treatment for asthma
1) Position the patient upright
2) Have their bronchodilator(Inhaler)next to them
3) administer oxygen
4) maybe necessary for dentist to use Epinephrine

How is hyperventilation caused?
Change in pH of the blood
Drops CO2 and takes more of O2
What are the symptoms of hyperventilation?
1) Breathing deeper and faster
2) twitching of facial muscles
3) unconsciousness
4) tingling and dizziness
What are the treatments for hyperventilation
1)Place patient in an upright position
2)Breath into paper bag
Breath into hands
