quick stoichio guide ig Flashcards
1
Q
What makes a base a strong base/acid?
A
It completely dissociates. It can include soluble salts as well.
2
Q
What makes a weak acid/base?
A
When the compound doesn’t completely dissociate. (ammonia, acetic acid, etc.)
3
Q
concentration
A
same thing as molarity
4
Q
Solubility Rules (6)
A
- Alkali Metal Salts (group 1/2) and ammonium salts are soluble
- anything with Cl, Br, and I are soluble, except with Ag, Hg, and Pb
- Any nitrate and acetate is soluble
- F is soluble except with G2 metals
- Hydroxides and oxides are insoluble, but Rule 1 takes priority
- Sulfates are soluble except with Ca, Sr, Ba, Ag, Pb, and Hg
