(For qui, the subject is said before qui)

qui can NEVER be shortened to qu’. (That can only be done to que)

eg. J’ai un chat qui adore le poisson.

que + sujet + verbe

C’est un chat que j’adore.

(For que, the subject follows the word.

que can be shortened to qu’. (That can only be done to que)

eg. C’est un acteur qu’il adore.
