Why Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications? /What is the relevance of this program to your Company’s activities or to your profession? Why this program?
: My work as a DJ has recently been threatened as songs, especially yet to be released songs by artists have been hacked by other colleagues in the entertainment industry. Meanwhile, as a DJ, one of my core mandates is to protect the yet to be released songs of Artists as it is their copyrights. Hence, studying Computer systems and Telecommunications with concentration in Cyber Security is definitely going to position me well to get the requisite skills and training to adequately tackle these issues.
Why Prairie State College?
Ans: It’s because their Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications program, which is my major, is structured in a way that, every student would have the opportunity to get hands on practical experience in the form of internships with big companies in USA including Walt Disney Company, being one of the biggest group of companies in the Entertainment (Video games and cartoons) and Media (ESPN&ABC Broadcasting) Industry. As I am already in the Entertainment Industry, I believe this internship opportunity will be of maximum benefit to me.
Again, they have well experienced faculty members like Professor Brian Donovan whose knowledge in Cyber security helped him develop formidable measures that put a stop to the frequent hacking of sensitive health information of patients at the Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital between 1999 and 2006 when he was serving as the Director of Information Services for the hospital.
Moreover, Prairie State College is an accredited agent of IT Giant Microsoft Imagine, and for that matter, teaches students up to date, modern IT Techniques that is able to help graduates manage effectively IT Challenges today and in the future.
Why an Associate Degree and not a Bachelor’s Degree?
The urgency of the situation calls for a shorter but well-structured program.

If that is the case, why didn’t you choose a certificate program? 6 months or One (1) year program in the school?
Because these shorter programs doesn’t offer in-depth knowledge and enough practical experience as compared to the Associate Degree.
Why not in Ghana? Can’t your program be studied in Ghana?
Because no IT Institution in Ghana offers a Concentration in Cyber security under Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications program. Also the IT Institutions in Ghana are theory biased and thus, I wouldn’t have the opportunity to get proper practical experience.
Can’t the program be done online?
No, as it has series of in-person internship with companies in and around Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Ans: To Prairie State College to study Associate Degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications program.
Would you like to transfer to a full Degree? Would you like to continue to a full degree in the future? Would you like to continue to a full degree after the Associate?
Ans: Yes, but not now, as I would have to return quickly after the two (2) years to help save my company from these several cyber-attacks. However, in the future, when the need arises, I will definitely continue so as to abreast with the modern skills that will be able to stand the test of time.
Why USA and no other country?
Because USA is well known for its quality in education especially in IT; also, it embraces people of all culture and background ; it has a stable political atmosphere which is conducive for academic activities.
Would you like to work while schooling?
Ans: No as already have enough money to cater for all my tuition and other expenses. I will however, avail myself for Internship programs as it is part of the curriculum.
Would you like to visit Ghana during vacation?
Ans: Sure, to pay a visit to my child and also use the opportunity to oversee my company’s activities. This particular December break is unique as my marriage is scheduled to take place within the month. Hence, I will have three-fold activities-a. Marrying, b. visiting my child and c. visiting my company to check activities that has really taken place in my absence.
