Campaigns for a strong, resilient, green and inclusive recovery from COVID-19
Thoughts on the COVID-19 crisis
Etymology of “crisis”: from Latinized form of Greek krisis “turning point in a disease, that change which indicates recovery or death”
Harsh and extremely difficult moment ; but any crisis might transform, if it is handled, in a moment of rebirth ==> FDR presidency after the Great Depression re-birth of the US, who embraced their global leadership
And now we must seize the opportunity to re-think how we build policies for the people: strong, resilient, green and inclusive. (in science, the mRNA tech might tackle other diseases, now and in the future)
3 key skills
Achievement focus, Analytical thinking,
Teamwork
What is Analytical Thinking
Analytical Thinking is the ability to identify patterns across situations that are not obviously related, and to identify key or underlying issues in complex situations.
What is Achievement Focus
Achievement Focus is generating results by assuming responsibility for one’s performance and the correctness of one’s interventions, and recognizing opportunities and acting efficiently at the appropriate moment and within the given deadlines.
What is Team Work
Teamwork and Team Leadership implies working cooperatively with others, being a part of a team, and assuming the role of leader of a team. In the OECD, people work not only with their own teams but also with teams and groups across and outside the Organisation. Therefore they need to work together effectively with interdependent goals and common values and norms to foster a collaborative environment and drive teams in the same direction.
