The 3 masks in the Flight Deck are suitable for smoke and fumes because they can be sealed.
They are quick donning full face masks that are supplied by a large tank cylinder housed in the fuselage near the Flight Deck.
Do the door rails (or handrails) need to be fully up? Why?
The door/handrails MUST be fully up so the pins are able to firmly install and lock into place before the door can be closed.
A pin that is left outside the close AC door can result in possible engine damage or failure.
How do you charge the tape, prior to the first flight of the day?
A. PAX must not be boarded
B. All overhead bins will be closed
C. Place ceiling and side wall luminescent lights to “bright” for 15 minutes

A. Lift the clear plastic guard and push the “Door Assist” push button until the door is within hand reach
B. Pull in on the door with the assist handle as the operating lever is pushed down to the CLOSED position as far as it will go.
C. Check that all door lock indicators align properly
