  1. The colony send the raw material to its mother country because it’s too expensive to process it because there no factories in a colony so they do it in the mother country
  2. In the mother country the raw materials are processed and once there processed they get sent to the European markets
  3. On the European markets the items are sold and all the profit goes back to the mother country
  4. The mother country then uses some of the money to buy the supplies needed to make the items
  5. They are then send to the colony to repeat the cycle
