What were the towns like?
Smelly, overcrowded, and unhealthy l. Centres for surrounding farming areas, and grew around a castle or monastery. Walls were built for defence. There was no planning-streets were narrow and winding and garbage and human waste was dumped into the street. However the towns were lively and full of people coming and going. Centres for activities, entertainment, pageants, and so forth.
What did peasant women do?
Worked very hard, sharing the field labour with husbands. Bore many children, took care of the home, DIED YOUNG
What could the long bow do and caused the war to end sooner? What other inventions struck at the heart of the feudal system?
It was able to piece through armour and made the the medieval knight obsolete; gun powder made the castle obsolete because it could reduce walls to rubble.
