Why do we say that proclamation of the Gospel is a command of Jesus to the church?.
Proclamation of the Gospel, is the mission which Jesus entrusted to the Church through the apostles.The Church which offers the greatest worship to God through the Holy sacrifice of Mass and receives God experience. The faith of the faithful becomes meaningful only when the faithful participate in the God experience of the Church and proclamation of the Gospel.
What are the Five precepts of the Church?
- You shall attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation and rest from service labor.
- You shall confess your sins at least once a year.
- You shall receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist at least during the Easter season.
- You shall observe the days of fasting and abstinence established by the Church
