How do we define someone’s culture?
Geography - people who live in a particular region of the world
Heritage - common past defines a group; sometimes called ethnic groups
Religion - members of faith usually have common set of beliefs and follow specific practices

Jewish dietaey laws (Kosher):
1. Meat and dairy cannot be eaten together
2. Can’t eat meat with blood
3. Can’t eat pork

Christmas: Red Borscht With Dumplings are eaten on christmas, its always been a cultural tradition every christmas eve. The chicken in the dumplings are replaced with something like veggies

- Physiological influences: factors that affect the body’s hunger and or appetite for food. You may choose the foods you eat either because you are hungry or you have a specific appetite for one particular food
- Cultural: People from different cultural backgrounds eat different foods. The areas in which families live and where their ancestors originated influence food like and dislikes
- Education (what you know is good for you): Knowing more about food will influence you to eat different and maybe more healthier food options
- Family: The people you grew up with will influence you to eat what they are eating, and you will grow up eating what your family makes or eats aswell
