Talk about yourself
I started my career as an educator i lasted 5 years in that period i accomplished 3 best teacher awards, last year i had an internship as a neuropsychologist in Queretaro in which i was part of the treatment program for miss Queretaro and also a special guest in a local channel. The last two years i worked as a coordinator for a school institution in which my department was awarded the best evaluated by the ITSON institution i was also able to decrease the companies expenses in half by creating excel instead of using paper and increased the process speed.
I’m in the search for a place in which i can devote 100% of my time, skills and knowledge and in that search i found your vacancy, i understand that you need a person with a great sense of organization and execution abilities for your national training program but also need a person with a keen eye for data analysis and detection of needs.
The reason I’m applying is because all my training skills, program design and qualities would make me a great asset for Pepsico.
Why are you interested in the position?
I’m eager to be a part of Pepsico family because there’s so much posibilítales to keep learning and develop professionally. I’m excited with the idea of having to use all my skills and abilities in a worldwide enterprise. Having analyzed the position i realized that mi professsional career and educational background had given me the tools to do a good job, but my personal qualities will allow me to do an outstanding job.
What do you know about our company?
I’m aware that Pepsico is on of the best food an beverages companies in the world. It has over 80,000 workers in Mexico, and is currently expanding all over the world. Recently you started a campaign called “nada mas papa” which is working on creating a 100% natural recipe. And you serve over 1 million stores in the country.
What are some of your flaws?
Well, even though i love feedback, sometimes i take to heart criticism, i used to bumped out and spend all day beating myself over and thinking about the mistakes i made. However, nowadays when I start to feel like that i refocus that energy in ways that i can improve or to create back/up plans to not let that happen again, criticism and feedback is what has made me a better person and professional so now i have a better appreciation of people who are willing to give it to me.
What are some of you qualities?
I think my greatest duality is self/motivation. This has allowed me to reach every goal i have ever set on my mind and also what has been the reason of so many awards i have achieved in every area i have worked in. This quality helps me get passionate about things and do everything i can to do the best.
Why did you leave your lt job?
I have been in different schools and even though I get along with everyone I don’t feel like I’m completely involved with the family. I’m looking for a place in which i can devote my whole energy and talent, a place where a can make a career plan in the long term, be a part of a culture.
What are some of the challenges you expect in this job?
As a company we face challenges in health areas and ecologic areas. But for this position I think the challenge is this fast paced work rhythm not to mention the big scale of workers. Also as I have heard from webinars of other T.C. One challenge is to convince supervisor to train their workers.
Do you know about our competitors?
The main competitor is Coca Cola, but PepsiCo also goes against, Bigcola, jumex, peña fiel, arca continental, Bimbo.
What is you profesional plan during 5 years in Pepsico?
I hace a predefined plan which consists in Checking the inductions program for betterment, study PepsiCo’s national training plan to identify the phase the organization is in and have the DC/Formats of training in case of an evaluation of STPS monitors. All that during the first 3 months to adapt to the fast paced work environment, after that i would work on optimize the process in a 1 year mark. The second year i would focus on innovate the process or training programs though creativity and evaluate the results. After 3 years i would like to get more responsibilities with my superiors and involve more in the industry-s processes and finally i would like to be considered for a promotion after 4 or 5 years. Of course i would work on achieving it sooner if possible.
How do you handle pressure?
As a neuropsychologist i recognize that pressure or stress is a fundamental part for learning, getting out of the comfort zone is always a challenging but it also comes with a great opportunity for growth. What i do to handle it is to control my respiratory system through breathing techniques I’ve learned, that helps me keep a calm mind so that can analyze the problem and think of all posible options and take the best and most rational solution. Having a work schedule and program helps to solve any contingency and get back on track faster.
How would you manage to get work&life balanced?
Ive been working on it since July of last year, i have scheduled my activities, i have a nutritional professional and i go to the gym in the afternoon, that has help me to perform at optimal levels since. I take care of my sleeping hours and recreate on weekends with family and friends activities so that i can be well rested and work hard during the week.
How would your partners describe you?
I believe they would describe me as someone passionate that does everything he can for things to turn out great. They would even say I’m a person that motivates them with a positive attitude when there’s a lot of work and streets over deadlines.
Why do you think you deserve this job?
I appreciate the invitation to this interview even though i don’t meet the experience requirements. I’m sure i have a lot more to offer to compensate my level of inexperience. I have acquired a wide range of skills during my professional experience and my academic history from which pepsico could benefit. Such skills like organizational, training and planning skills acquires during my years as coordinator, data analysis, and detection of needs acquired acquired through my master’s and PhD degrees, I also have touch with people, have really good workplace interactions, effective communication, and i can speak in front of a crowd without troubles. All of this combined with my personal qualities make me a great asset for your company.
Can you train others?
I have more than 5 years training other, as an educator your laboral is basically train others to learn either skills or knowledge. Nevertheless, as a coordinator i learnt different training methods and i also create training programs for my subordinates. I know the TNA process before the making of a training program and also a little bit of the DC-3 process that comes afterwards to certificate employees under the STPS
Give us an example where you took initiative?
The most recent was the design of the school project of thanksgiving, in which i elaborated the plan, i delegated responsibilities to the whole personnel and students. Coordinated the activities of all members and executed the project and made a report of it to my superiors.
