What are emboltés?
Emboités travel slightly forward from 5th to 5th and can be executed on demi or full pointe. The back foot extends to a low 2nd en l’air with a pointed foot, and is then crossed into 5th devant. The action is repeated as many times as required

No, both knees are taut throughout. The last emboité closes into 5th in a demi-plie

It is a running step on demi or full pointe
What Is the movement of the feet in couru?
Commences with the back foot released, which is then placed on the pointe immediately behind the front foot. This has the tendency to push the front foot along the floor, performing very small runs. The front foot never steps out. The back foot is the leading foot to make the travel. The knees are relaxed and never stiff. A feeling of gliding along the floor is maintained throughout
