- great detail for describing subjects

Categorial Item Responses
A
- quick and easy for subjects to select
- less detailed information
- exhaustive - must cover all possible alternatives
- mutually exclusive - must not overlap among categories

Force Choice Scales
A
- categorial response items (subject can choose 1+ responses from a list of options)
- Likert scale - respondent indicates the degree to which they agree or disagree with the assertion
- Semantic Differential Scale - rate any concept on bipolar scales (1=believable, 7= not believable)
