Q

What does it mean to “negate” or find the “logical opposite” of something?

A

Find the term that covers EVERYTHING else in the spectrum of possibilities (not just what is on the opposite end of the spectrum)

For example, the logical opposite of must be true is could be false because could be false is everything less than 100%, meaning it is everything except for 100%

Q

What is an Acceptability Question? What is the strategy?

A

This question type asks for an arrangement of the entities that is possible. In other words, an arrangement that does NOT break ANY of the rules.

Take Rule 1 and check EVERY answer choice to see if any of them break rule 1. Eliminate any answer choices that break the rule. Then move onto the next rule and continue the process until you arrive at one answer choice.
