why do I want to be a physiotherapist?
A
- interest in a healthy lifestyle and helping others maintain it
- helping my friends and family solve problems
- struggled w/ injury - love to provide support I didn’t receive
- job with constant learning I love to learn

A
- great communication skills
- love helping others learn, and the look on their face when they understand a concept
- great resilience, not afraid to back down from a challenge e.g. football tryouts
- good at dealing with difficult people professionally

- help restore movement and function, both of which quite literally make the world go round
- people underestimate the role of competent movement on independence

- Being a voice for those who feel like they’re being silenced
- advocating for the needs as everyone deserves necessary access to healthcare services
- Help people understand the risks related to the choices they make

- Important to keep the respect and trust of your patients to help maintain a good working relationship
- Allows patients to feel comfortable to share information without fear it’ll be shared, allows them to be more engaged in their recovery and have a more effective treatment process

- Important to work hard to preserve dignity when providing care as people may often feel uncomfortable or embarrassed
- Asking permission before touching, making sure people understand what you’re explaining but not in a condescending or belittling way.

- create change by helping as many people as i can
- make the nhs a better place - in terms of the standard of service to the public and place where people want to come and work, ensuring its a safe, inclusive space that’s open to everyone
