21
Q

what type of CT is this? how can you tell :O

A

mesenchyme: Mesenchymal cells have an irregular, star (stellate) or spindle (fusiform) shape, with delicate branching cytoplasmic extensions which form an interlacing network throughout the tissue.

22
Q

??

A

loose CT

23
Q

what is yellow dot pointing at ?

A

fibroblasts

24
Q

what type of collagen does this show?

what stain used?

A

reticular fibres - type 3 collagen

Reticulin fibres stain poorly in H&E preparations but are able to absorb metallic silver, staining them black. Reticulin is the earliest type of collagen fibre to be produced during the development of all supporting tissues. It is found in varying quantities in most mature supporting tissues
