People would follow their conscience instead of the law. (There would be chaos/everyone doing what they want)
Christians should only use Situation Ethics to make moral decisions.
They allow them to follow the Golden Rule.
They allow people to adapt biblical morals for a changing society. (Use genetic research to ‘love thy neighbour’)
They allow the reaction to be appropriate to the situation. (Most loving thing to do)
Jesus seemed to follow situation ethics. (He overruled some of the Old Testament)

Church leaders have more wisdom. (What other Christians think is right)
Bible has absolute authority. (Word of God)
You can never all the facts of the situation. (Never understand the consequences prior)
Ten Commandments give a better source of guidance.
Human Rights are important.
Right to liberty and fair trial. (Find ourselves in a Dictatorship)
Freedom of thought and expression. (Minority groups could be banned)
Right of free elections. (No Democracy)
Human Rights are not important.
They’re abused anyway. (Prisoners by claiming their punishments infringe their rights)
In a democracy their not needed. (People vote for what they want)
Some people don’t deserve them. (Terrorists, Mass Murderers)
People should take part in electoral processes.
Voting gives some control over some issues. (Rates of Tax etc.)
You can affect new laws.
Gives you a say in how things are run. (NHS, Police etc.)
People should not take part in electoral processes.
One out of Sixty Million people. (Makes no difference overall)
All politicians are the same. (Doesn’t matter who you vote for)
Political parties are unreliable. (Lie in elections/will not do what they said they would)
Genetic research is good.
Cure genetic disorders. (Autism)
Can be the most loving thing to do.
God created us in his image. (Gave us the intellectual ability)
Genetic research is not good.
Playing God. (Great sin)
Should not interfere with God’s will.
No one can anticipate the long term effects.
