What assessment objectives are being assessed in a question 1, and what do these entail? (What do they mean you have to do?)
just AO1- knowledge and understanding. You need to express what you know and show you understanding how it relates to the question you’re answering. Marks are achieved by producing either depth of detail and/or breadth of knowledge.
How to briefly plan for a question 1
Make 3 bullet points that identify the factor you will discuss in each paragraph.
What does the command word describe mean?
Provide clear and factually correct information about the features and functions of institutions of processes , or the characteristics of a political idea.
How should you structure/write your question 1?
3 PEE
Point- Identify a feature/function of the issue or topic
Explain- What do you know about that feature - show off your knowledge.
Examples- Provide one or two examples of that feature/function in action (breadth or depth of knowledge)
