Quantitative Chemistry Flashcards
Mole
The SI unit for amount of substance.
Avogradoβs Number
One mole contains Avogadroβs number of particles.
(π =6,02Γ1023ππππ‘πππππ .ππππβ1)
Molar Mass
The mass, in gram, of one mole of that substance.
Molar Volume
1 mole of gas occupies 22,4 ππ3 at 0 0C (273 K) and at
1 atmospheric pressure (101,3 kPa).
Solution
Homogeneous mixture of solute and solvent.
Solute
The substance that is dissolved in the solution.
Solvent
The substance in which another substance is dissolved, forming a solution.
Concentration
The amount of solute per unit volume of solution.
Standard Solution
A solution of known concentration.
Yield
A measure of the extent of a reaction, generally measured by comparing the amount of product against the amount of product that is possible.
