Define Factor of Safety. (1)
The level of which the product would normally be expected to withstand.
Define the Tolerances of a component. (1)
The maximum & minimum deviation from the actual value that is acceptable for a component and will still
be able it to do its job.
What is testing? (1)
A product is observed during operation to establish if it works properly for a set period of time.
What is Inspection? (1)
Examining the product to determine if they achieve the
standards set at the beginning.
How do you asses risks ? (3)
Identifying the hazard.
Identifying who might be injured.
Decide how they can be avoided

The Lathe
Dust and splinters ejected from machine.
Use machine guards and or safety glasses.
