Pale image:

  • wrong exposure selection
  • not enough time in developer
  • developer temp too low/exhausted/wrong concentration

Prevented by:

  • sensitometry
  • routine processor maintenance
  • topping up developer when required
  • appropriate exposure selection

Fogged film:

  • light leakage in darkroom/glove box of processor
  • incorrect handling of film

  • regular checking of glove box/dark room

  • Dark spots: developer splashes
  • Clear spots: foxer splashes

  • regular changing of water in wash tank
