How do you factorise a quadratic equation?
A
You must find a set of factors for the last term (The numerical term) that, when added together, equal the middle term (The x term)

How do you solve quadratic equations?
A
You must make the numerical side equal to zero.
You then factorise the equation
The two possible values of x are the opposite of the two numbers in the brackets
If the factorised equation was (x + 7) (x - 9) the x values would be -7 or +9
