QRH Memory Items Flashcards
Aborted Engine Start
- Engine Start Lever (affected engine) - CUTOFF
Airspeed Unreliable
- Autopilot - DISENGAGE
- Autothrottle - DISENGAGE
F/D Switches (both) - OFF - Set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust:
Flaps extended - 10 deg NU and 80% N1
Flaps Up - 4 deg NU and 75% N1
APU Fire
- APU Fire Switch - CONFIRM, PULL, Rotate to Stop, and hold for 1 second
- APU Switch - OFF
Cabin Altitude Warning or Rapid Depressurization
- Don oxygen masks and set regulators to 100%.
- Establish crew communications.
- Pressurization mode selector - MAN
- Outflow VALVE switch - Hold in CLOSE until the outflow VALVE indication shows fully closed
- If cabin altitude is uncontrollable:
Passenger signs - ON
PASS OXYGEN switch - ON
Continue to Emergency Descent Checklist on page 0.1
ENGINE FIRE or Severe Damage or Separation
- Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected engine) - Confirm…Close
- Engine start lever (affected engine) - Confirm…CUTOFF
- Engine fire switch (affected engine - Confirm…Pull
(To manually unlock the engine fire switch, press the override and pull.) - If the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light is illuminated:
- Engine fire switch - Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 sec
-If after 30 sec the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT stays illuminated
Engine fire switch - Rotate to the OTHER stop and hold for 1 sec
Engine Limit or Surge or Stall
- Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected engine) - Confirm…Retard until engine indications stay within limits or the thrust lever is closed
ENGINE OVERHEAT
- Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected engine) - Confirm…Close
- If ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated:
- Goto the ENGINE FIRE or Engine Severe Damage or Separation checklist
LANDING CONFIGURATION
In flight if any warning horning sounds:
1. Assure correct airplane landing configuration
TAKEOFF CONFIGURATION
On the ground, the intermittent cabin altitude /configuration warning horn sounds, or a TAKEOFF CONFIG light (if installed and operative) illuminates when advancing the thrust levers to takeoff thrust:
1. Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
Loss Of Thrust On Both Engines
- ENGINE START switches (both) - FLT
- Engine start levers (both) - CUTOFF
- When EGT decreases:
- Engine start levers (both) - IDLE detent - If EGT reaches 950 deg C or there is not increase in EGT within 30 seconds:
- Engine start lever (afftemed engine) - Confirm…CUTOFF, then IDLE detent
* If EGT again reaches 950 deg C or there is no increase in EGT within 30 seconds, repeat as needed.
Runaway Stabilizer
- Control column - Hold firmly
- Autopilot (if engaged) - Disengage
- Autothrottle (if engaged) - Disengage
- If the runaway stops after the autopilot is disengaged - END
- If the runway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:
- STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches (both) - CUTOUT
If runaway continues:
- Stabilizer trim wheel - Grasp and hold
Warning Horn (Intermittent)
Warning Light - Cabin Altitude or Takeoff Configuration
If the intermittent warning horn sounds or a CABIN ALTITUDE light illuminates in flight at or above 10,00’ MSL
- Don the oxygen masks and set regulators to 100%
- Establish crew communications
- Goto CABIN ALTITUDE WARNING or Rapid Depressurization checklist
If horn sounds or a TAKEOFF CONFIG light illuminates on the ground when advancing the thrust levers:
-Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
