Q

What’s the theory of operation for the rotary vane pump?

A

The rapid rotation of the shaft and rotor forces the vanes in sliding contact with the cylinder bore by centrifugal forces and by push rods. The passage of vanes through the lower portion of the cylinder bore draws fluid into the pump at the same time forces it out the discharge port rotary vane pumps are positive displacement pumps this mean they will pump air which creates a vacuum causing liquid to be pulled into the suction side of the pump.

Q

What is the theory of operation for the purifiers?

A

Fuel goes through the inlet of the inlet/outlet housing goes through the feed tube assembly then goes down the tubular shaft and then falls down on to the spindle cap nut and gets disbursed outward to the distributor and all the sediments get spun out to the bowl wall where it sticks and creates a layer of cake and then fuel gets sucked back up through the distribution holes by the pairing disk because it makes a centripetal pump but on its way back up it hits the discharge ring which separates the fuel from the water because fuel is lighter than water it goes up around the feed tube assembly and sucked back up into the outlet of the inlet/outlet housing and the water goes do through the water discharge chamber.
