P/A,B (Dyspnea)] Morphine 5mg PO (2.5mg IV) q4-6h
** Start at low doses and titrate up.
Brochodilators if bronchoconstriction.
Steroids for lymphangitic carcinomatosis and servere COPD.
Diuretics for CHF and pulmonary edema.

Intractable dyspnea
Methotrimeprazine (Nozinan) 2.5-10mg PO/IV/SQ/SL q4-8h

Lidocaine 5ml of 2% solution NEBS QID

Upper Airway Secretions

P/A,B (Secretions)] Atropine 0.3-0.6mg

** Acetylcholine stimulates secretion of glands. Atropine ins an anti-cholinergic of the parasympathetic receptors (M1-M5). Has the opposite effect of the vagus nerve and decreases secretions.

Scopolamine (Anticholinergic, Antimuscarinic) 0.4mg SC q30-60m

Glycopyrrolate (Anticholinergic, Antimuscarinic) 1-2mg PO QID
