Legionella pneumophila (Legionnaires’ disease).
A farmer presents with a flu like illness. What’s the most likely diagnosis?
Coxiella burnetii (Q fever).
COVID-19 management
Supportive care: oxygen, IV fluids, VTE prevention, analgesia.
Antiviral - Remdesivir.
Anti inflammatory - Dexamethasone.
What is the gold standard investigation for TB?
Sputum culture
Pneumonia, peripheral blood smear showing rbc agglutination
Mycoplasma pneumoniae
Pneumonia with lymphopenia, hyponatraemia and deranged LFTs
Legionella
Pneumonia in an alcoholic
Klebsiella
Antibiotics for MRSA
- Vancomycin (first line)
