Q

What are the invx for pul fibrosis?

A

Bloods:

  • ABG (reduced PaO2, if severe then increased PaCO2)
  • raised CRP
  • Rheumatoid factor ( +ve 10%)
  • FBC - raised lymphocytes (good prognosis), (if raised neuts/eosinpophils then poor prognosis)

Chest xray shows:

  • decreased lung volume
  • bilateral lower zone reticulonodular shadows
  • honey comb lung

CT

Spirometry -restrictive lung disease

Lung biopsy
