A
- Lungs are supplied by both pulmonary + systemic circulation
Pulmonary circulation
- is low pressure
- originates in right ventricle + terminates in left atrium
- carries deoxygenated blood into the lungs for gas exchange.
Systemic circulation
- supplies bronchi + bronchioles

Lymphatic Drainage

- Lungs contain lymph nodes + vessels
- Lymph from the lung drains to pulmonary lymph nodes within the lung → bp lymph nodes at hilus = to remove excess water + to filter the material that has been removed from the tissues
