In person, in writing or in an electronic form - CCS 8.8
How must information relating to price be communicated in publicity?
Any publicity relating to a firm’s charges must be clearly expressed.
Must be given ‘the best possible information’ - CCS 8.7
Can firms make unsolicited approaches to publicise their services?
No, except to current or former clients - CCS 8.9.
What does Rule 1 of the SRA Transparency Rules require?
Firms providing the services listed in 1.3 and 1.4 must publish certain costs information on their website.
The information required is listed in 1.5.
The information must be clear and accessible and in a prominent place on the website - 1.6.
What does Rule 4 of the SRA Transparency Rules require?
An authorised body must display on its website its SRA number and badge (4.1)
It must also show its authorisation number and the words ‘authorised and regulated by the SRA’ in its letterheads and emails (4.2)
