Name of act, date of publication, date of royal assent, date enforced

A

The name of the act can be found on the first page, as well as the date in which the bill was published (Ie. the Human Rights Act was published in 1998). The date of royal assent is when the residing monarch signs the bill approving it from a bill to a law. Finally, the law may not come into force immediately, but during a later period of time due to a clause specifying this. See “The Bill for the Alcohol (Minimum Pricing) (Scotland) Act 2012” enforced in 2018 to allow business owners adjust to new law.

Route 1: Bill is directed to the whole of the UK. This is in matters that are reserved and apply to the whole of the UK

Route 2: Bill is relevant in only one of the countries w/i the UK because of devolved powers and delegated legislation. see Scotland Minimum Pricing of Alcohol Act.
