rules that explain how a country is run and what rights people have.

rulebook for a country written in one document
what is an uncodified constitution?
rules that are not written in a single document they are made up of different laws and customs from various places.

what is parliamentary sovereignty?
parliament is the highest authority and can create or change laws without being challenged.
what is the rule of law?
everyone is equal and everyone even leaders must follow the law,
what is separation of powers?
divides the government into three parts- legislative, executive, judicial helps stop abuse of power.
what is devolution within the UKs multilateral system of governance?
the transfer of certain powers from the central government to regional governments like those such as soctland, wales and northern ireland.
what is meant by entrenchment in the context of legislation?
process of making certain laws more difficult to change.
