what is a policy?
a document that outlines what a government/organisation is going to do and what it can achieve for society, it also outlines the methods and principles that will be used.
what is a green paper?
a discussion document on policy options or a preliminary statement
what is a white paper?
a broad statement of government policy or collated inputs from the public
what is legislation?
'’statuatory law’. Laws that are embodied in writing and are known as statues or acts. Legislation is also known as the process of making law.
what is a bill?
A proposed legislation under consideration by a legislature. It does not become law until passed by legislature. Bills can be drawn from white paper.
what is an act?
Once a bill has been enacted into law and is thus enforceable and punishable.
