Patient having some disease, GP wants to see how many more will have the disease in the broad population.

“Want to see how many more will have disease” = Incidence (prevalence is existing while incidence is new cases)
Incidence = cohort studies (future)
Prevalence = cross-sectional (presence or absence of disease in population)
Ethics

People with tight shiftwork schedules, intentional chronic sleep restriction, witnessed sleep apnoea or self reported nonrefreshing sleep with subjective daytime sleepiness may be patients who are at an increased risk of motor vehicle accidents and work related injuries, as well as significant cardiovascular diseases and mood disorders. Patients suspected to have this increased risk should be carefully evaluated by general practitioners and then, if deemed needed, referred for further assessment.
In this case, pt is a commercial driver and deemed for risk of public safety.
So initial, is to ask pt to stop/taking break from his work (truck driver), to avoid any accidents as pt had complaint few times fallen asleep during driving.
Subsequently, do assessment and ix to treat the underlying issues. Eg OSA, cardio or neurological issues
