what are the adverse effects of benzodiazepines?
decreased CNS, loss of coordination, dizzy, constipation, dry mouth
what reverses overdose and what are its interactions?
Flumazenil reverses overdose, Interactions: other CNS depressants are additive, renal or hepatic issues
what does alprazolam indications, adverse, interactions?
Most common
Indications: anxiety, panic disorder, anxiety related depression
Adverse: confusion, ataxia, headache
Interactions: alcohol, antacids, oral contraceptives
what does diazepam indications, adverse, interactions?
Indications: relief of anxiety, manage alcohol withdrawal, reverse status epilepticus, preoperative sedation, relief skeletal spasms
Contraindications: hepatic issues
Adverse: headache, confusion, slurred speech
Interactions: alcohol, oral contraceptives
what does lorazepam do?
Lorazepam
Acutely agitated patient treatment
Treat and prevent alcohol withdrawal

lithium carbonate and lithium citrate
