Who is Sigmund Freud?
Created the Psychoanalytical theory. He is also the most famous psychologist and is responsible for creating the Id, Ego, and Superego. He mentioned the idea of the unconscious and conscious mind quite a bit in his research. His work is also often viewed as inequitable to social standards today.
Who is Karen Horney?
She is a neo-Freudian that founded the Feminist Psychology department. She was focused on inequalities between men and women and how women have “depend” on men to live.
Who is Carl Jung?
He founded Analytical Psychology. He was the main developer of archetypes and the collective unconscious.
Who is Erik Erikson?
Studied Psychosocial development and its 8 stages.
Who is John B. Watson?
He conducted the Little Albert Experiment which is deemed highly unethical based on modern standards.
Who is Ivan Pavlov?
Created Classical Conditioning.
Who is B.F. Skinner?
Created Operant Conditioning (taught pigeons how to play ping-pong using this method).
Who is Abraham Maslow?
He is a rather famous Humanistic Psychologist. He studied Self-Actualization and created the Hierarchy of Needs.
Who is Viktor Frankl?
He developed Logotherapy.
Who is Carl Rogers?
Developed the Client-Centered Model.
Who is Jean Piaget?
Worked on the Binet IQ test and created the Stages of Cognitive Development.
Who is Albert Bandura?
Conducted the Bobo-Doll experiment.
Who is Elizabeth Loftus?
Studied false memories.
Who is Letta Stetter Hollingworth?
Studied gifted children.
Who is Harry Harlow?
Conducted the Rhesus Monkey’s experiment with the terry-cloth mother and the ire mother.
