Freud’s three types of personality
Id, ego and superego
Id
Operates on the pleasure principle and contains life and death instincts.
Ego
Logical, focuses on reality and listens to your conscious.
Superego
what your morals are and controls the id and the ego.
Esteem
Motives that drive you to be successful or pursue goals.
Self-aculization
Reaching your fullest potential.
Conditions of worth
What other’s think of you.
Unconditional positive regard
not judging people, being loving, caring and accepting of people no matter what.
Self-esteem
How you feel about yourself.
Openness
How willing you are to try new things or places.
Conscientious
Being positive, planning ahead, putting your best effort in all of your work and being responsible.
Extraversion
Meeting new people, like being social, and is usually a positive person.
Agreeableness
People who are easygoing, friendly, and kind.
Neuroticism
People have negative attitudes, are annoyed easily, and have a hard time making friends.
Is personality influenced by hereditary or environmental factors?
I think personality is hereditary.
