What is the ego?
Controls ID and superego desire against restrictions of reality ( reality principle)
What are the early stages of the pleasure zone?
Oral - forceful feeding, deprivation
Anal- toilet training, too harsh
Phallic - unusual relationships with mother/ Father
What’s a strength of fraud’s approach?
Real life application a new form of therapy techniques designed for unconscious mind like dream analysis
What’s a limitation of freud’s research?
Difficult to test only helping mild mental disorders + critiqued for inappropriate/ harmful for serious mental health problems
