Patient presents with: Pinpoint pupils, N/V (nausea/vomiting), seizures

Opioid overdose
Patient presents with: Belligerence, impulsiveness, homicidal ideation, psychosis

PCP overdose
Patient presents with: Headache, anxiety/depression, flu like symptoms, difficulty concentrating, and weight gain

Nicotine or caffeine withdrawal
Patient presents with: Anxiety/depression, delusions, hallucinations, flashbacks
What is the responsible drug at hand?
LSD intoxication
Patient presents with: Rebound anxiety, tremors, seizures, life-threatening to Px

Withdrawal from alcohol
But can also be from benzodiazepines, or barbiturates
Patient presents with: Anxiety, piloerection, yawning, fever, rhinorrhea, nausea, diarrhea

Alcohol
IVFs, respiratory/blood alcohol monitoring, time
What is the treatment for a patient that is over intoxicated with the following:
Benzodiazepines
Flumazenil
What is the treatment for a patient that is over intoxicated with the following:
Opioids
Naloxone, Naltrexone
What is the treatment for a patient that is over intoxicated with the following:
PCP
Benzodiazepines,
or haloperidol for agitated patients
