On top of a normal history what else do you need to ask in a psych history?
You do the normal history:
Psych History: any past issues, hospitalisation, overdose, attempts to end their life.
Developmental History: milestones, family, school,bullying, trauma
Forensic History: prison etc
What is the principle behind attachment theory?
Attachment theory is the idea. that in infant needs to develop a relationship with at least one primary caregiver for the child to have successful emotional and social developmental.
Crucial in the child understanding how to regulate their feelings.
Name and describe 4 SE of anti psychotics?
Tardive dyskinesia: protrusions and rolling of the tongue. There is sucking and smacking movements with the tongue.
Akathisia: when you get restless. Patients pace or have explosive limb movements.
Acute Dystonia: facial grimacing, involuntary eye movement, muscle spasms in tongue face, neck and back
