Mutism
Non reactive state with inability to speak
Dissociation
Uncomfortable feelings are separated from their real object
Dissociation disorder unconscious conflict. Loss of memory
Apathy
Absence of emotions; lack of interest or emotional involvement
Conversion
Anxiety becomes a bodily symptom, such as blindness, deafness of paralysis, that doesn’t have a physical basis. No organic basis
Hallucination
False sensory perception (hearing voices or seeing things)
Obsession
An involuntary, persistent idea or emotion
Dementia
Loss of intellectual abilities with impairment of memory, judgement, and reasoning as well as changes in personality
Bipolar disorder
Mood disorder with alternating periods of mania and depression
Paranoia
Overly suspicious system of thinking with fixed delusions of being harassed, persecuted, or unfairly treated
Agoraphobia
Fear of being on open, crowded, public places or alone. Fear or leaving home or safe place
Dysphoria
Sadness, hopelessness, depressive mood, or feeling low
Compulsion
Uncontrollable desire to perform an act repeatedly
Amnesia
Loss of memory
Mania
Extreme excitement, hyperactive elation, and agitation
State of excessive hyperactivity
Delusion
Fixed, false belief that can’t be changed by logical reasoning or evidence
Autism
Lack of responsiveness to others
Anxiety
Feeling of apprehension, uneasiness, and dread.
Delirium
Confused thinking, disorientation, changes in alertness, difficulty paying attention and fearfulness
Eating disorder
Severe disturbances in eating behavior
Mood disorder
Illness Prolonged emotion dominates a persons life (such as bipolar and depressive disorders) like Mania and depression
Personality disorder
Lifelong personality patters marked by inflexibility and impairment of social functioning
Sexual disorder
Paraphilia’s and sexual dysfunctions
Somatoform disorders
Presence of physical symptoms that can’t be explained by an actual physical disorder
Substance related disorder
Regular overuse of psychoactive substances that affect the central nervous system (like cocaine or other drugs)
