Bipolar mania should be given finger foods to encourage them to eat. They should avoid group sessions during mania phase. They are very active and cannot even rest to sit down so that’s why finger foods & fluids are important to encourage to keep their calorie count up.

Seasonal affect disorder is a form of depression, that appears in late fall or early winter, and goes away usually in the spring, when it gets sunnier out. Includes thoughts of suicide, and or death, appetite and weight changes, craves sugar, and starchy foods & difficulty concentrating.

Try Čilić antidepressant, such as amitriptyline causes, photo sensitivity, G.I. upset, and should take with a meal, causes dry mouth. Increases patient’s appetite and can cause weight gain. Can also cause hypertension and patient should orthostatic hypotension.

With schizophrenia it is normal for them to become anxious around people, they seek social, isolation and to be alone. It’s OK to give them alone time.
