Advice on discharge to prevent a “RELAPSE”
- Educate Pt and Family about disease
- Daily meds, come and visit if any side effects
- Identify relapses early
- Sleep, minimize alcohol and avoid stressors
Discharge plan
- Stop BDZ
- Tail off Antipsychotics
- Monitor Li levels weekly until maintenance level is achieved
- Followup once a week at clinic until stabilized
