they condusted a study on the visual feilds of kittens. they conducted the study to look into the visual field of kittens and how it could be affected depending on the manipulated environment. they used kittens a thye have similar brins to humans.

they took 2 kittens from birth and raised them in 2 seperate enviroments. one was a virtically striped cylinnder and one was a horizontally striped cyleder. they where placed in the cylinder for 5 hours a day and the rest of the time they where kept in a cage in a dark room.

they found that some of the effects after 6 months where not perminent. they found that after 6 months the kittend had no startle reactions form the kittens in both conditions , they both guided themselves mainly by touch, they where frightended by edges and they showed behavioural blindness.
