Action Code 10
Deficiency Rectified
Use when surveyor is satisfied that a noted deficiency has been rectified. Used to clear codes 15, 16, 17, 18, 30, 99
Action Code 15
Rectify deficiency at next Port
Action code 16
Rectify deficiency within 14 days
Action code 17
Rectify deficiency before departure
Action code 18
Rectify deficiency within 3 months
Can be used for minor ISM deficiencies
Action Code 30
Detainable Deficiency
Serious enough to jeopardise ship’s seaworthiness, safety of passengers/crew on board or present an unreasonable threat to the environment
Action code 46
Rectify detainable deficiency at agreed repair port
May not be used as an initial action code.
The ship must first be detained with action code 30 then downgraded to 46 after confirmation of the repair plan.
Action code 99
Other action to be specified
To be used when rectification deferred beyond next Port of call or where actions cannot be described by other codes
