PSA/DNA Fees

Regular authentication fees are based on the individual signer of each item and can range anywhere from $10 to $500. The fees are determined based on a number of different factors including the rarity, value and time/resources it takes to review an autograph.

The authentication fees for multi-signed items are determined by the total number of autographs on the item, as well as the primary signer’s authentication fee. For multi-signed items, all autographs must be reviewed. A customer cannot choose to only have a certain autograph reviewed/authenticated. Typically, in order for an item to pass authentication, all autographs on the item must be deemed authentic. There are certain exceptions to this rule, which is at the discretion of our authentication team. This is usually based on which autographs are not determined to be authentic and whether or not the item still holds value.

On occasion, for frequent submitters or large orders, our sales team will offer special pricing for PSA/DNA Autograph Authentication. This pricing is determined based on the value and signer of each piece, number of items in the order, item type, etc. Any type of special pricing can only be approved by managers, the sales team or supervisors.

Items submitted with a regular authentication fee of under $50 are issued a 3x3 Certificate of Authenticity if passed. Items with a regular authentication fee of $50 or more are issued a full Letter of Authenticity. Upgrades to a full Letter of Authenticity are available for an additional $10 fee. Items submitted using special pricing are provided letter upgrades based on the original fees, not the discounted rates.

Grading fees are based on the original authentication fee of the item. For 4+ autographs on an individual item, the grades are averaged. We do not typically discount grading fees.

Any item with a declared value of $1000 or more are subject to an additional Premium item fee in addition to the authentication fee. This is essentially an additional insurance fee for higher valued items. Even for items with special pricing, we do not typically discount or waive Premium Item Fees.

Each quarter, PSA/DNA offers specials for authentication. The specials are created by management and the sales team. They are usually based on which sport is in season or what is trending at the time. Specials are not usually valid for on-site authentication at trade shows and are not valid with any other discounts or offers. No membership is required.

Estimated 5 business day turnaround time, not guaranteed. 1-5 items is $50, 5-10 is $100. Same day turnaround is an additional $150 for 1-5 items.
