Protists, WFP, Cells Flashcards
What is the difference between chromatin, chromatid, and chromosomes? (Cells)
Chromatins are the spaghetti DNA, Chromatids are the Sister chromatids, and the Chromosomes are the condensed DNA.
Chromosomes start to line up in the middle (Cells)
Metaphase
Spends the most time is the phase (Cells)
Interphase
Nuclear membrane starts to dissolve and centrioles start to move to the poles (Cells)
Prophase
Chromosomes are pulled apart in chromatids (Cells)
Anaphase
Nucleus starts to form and membrane starts to tear apart (Cells)
Telophase
Creates to spindle fibers to help pull the chromosomes apart (Cells)
Centrioles
Two identical cells created after mitosis (Cells)
Daughter cells
Is used to pull apart the chromosomes made by the centrioles (Cells)
Spindle fibers
Holds the chromatids together (Cells)
Centromere
What is a way to remember all the stages of interphase, mitosis, and cytokinesis (Cells)
IPMATC or Prophase; poles. Metaphase; middle. Anaphase; apart. Telophase; tear
Name every part of a seed. (WFP)
Cotyledons, embryo, endosperm, seed coat
Name some features of a monocot (WFP)
Straight lines on their leaves, more messy stem cells, or have multiples of three amounts of pedals
Germination (WFP)
Good soil, sunlight, water, and the plant begin to germinate or begin to grow
List 4 types of Crucifers (WFP)
Fast plants, cabbage, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts
